24 October 2017: Due to accelerated company growth, Thrive PR has expanded its team across Australia and New Zealand. Thrive has four offices (three in Australia and one in NZ) and is one of the largest independent consultancies in the region.
Two recent appointments include senior roles in the Sydney and Melbourne offices strengthening Thrive’s corporate and media comms, internal comms, stakeholder relations and issues management services.
Clare Basire has joined the Sydney office as Business Director. Leading the Sydney team, Clare will oversee the strategic campaigns for Thrive’s clients including Optus, Cisco, ASUS and Bauer Media. Clare is a skilled marketing and communications specialist who has worked across global markets including Europe and ANZ. Clare’s broad, 14 years’ experience spans corporate, telco, FMCG and tourism. Through her work at leading Australian PR agencies she has earned a reputation for building successful teams and delivering superior results with award winning campaigns. She brings enthusiasm, unwavering commitment, and dedication to every job at hand. Clare has worked on integrated communications strategies with major corporate brands including Allianz, Sony,Kelloggs, Nestle and Unilever. She takes over from Frances Wills who has moved into a national strategy role for the company.

Mark Detre joins the Melbourne team as Senior Account Director. Mark started his communications career at Google in London where he handled internal comms across Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa. A global internal comms role at Vodafone followed before Mark moved into agency, initially specialising in government relations and policy communications. Mark moved to Australia in 2015 and worked for PPR on brands including Australia Post and BAE Systems. With extensive experience in evergreen consumer content placement to complex, cross-functional campaigns with multiple audiences, political sensitivity and high-profile issues, Mark is a solid addition to Thrive’s Senior Leadership Team.
