On a glorious spring morning last September, the Thrive team boarded a luxury cruise ship to deliver a unique digital creative experience to launch Nintendo’s New Art Academy game.
The sun was shining and everyone was in high spirits as we set sail for a morning on the Harbour! Acclaimed artist Kelly Thompson, who illustrated the new face of Covergirl Australia, hosted the event and shared her inspired ideas among an audience of avid Nintendo fans.
Attendees were given the ultimate experience, combining digital art with a sight seeing experience sure to make every tourist green with envy. Art students took snap shots of the Opera House and recreated this iconic landmark using the fully loaded New Art Academy game and 3DS XL console.
This event also kick started a national creative competition, ‘Inspirations of the Nation’, encouraging budding artists from all walks of life to share their artwork.
