Melbourne’s sporting and celebrity elite including Harry Kewell, Jimmy Bartel, Brendon Goddard, Sam Fisher and Kris Smith took aim at the city skyline on Friday night with spectacular skill, testing out Callaway’s brand new X Hot range of clubs.
Callaway’s first ever official “Tee Party” saw this line up of sporting greats pitched alongside former World Long Drive Champion, Joe Miller, who is known to smash the ball to a distance of more than 400 meters, with a record breaking swing of 225mph.
As dusk descended at the 11th hole of Albert Park Golf Course in Melbourne, the boys went head-to-head to battle it out for a place alongside Joe. It was Sam Fisher who was victorious, producing a spectacular winning long drive of 347 meters to steal the trophy.
The best was yet to come as Joe Miller came onto stage to slog the ball over 370 meters in front of more than 400 prestigious guests.
Against a backdrop of the city, the fairway was lit for some spectacular showmanship as Miller stole the night with a party trick involving smashing a golf ball into a watermelon.
