One of Melbourne’s most iconic and well-loved landmarks, the Hotel Windsor joins Thrive PR’s hospitality and tourism portfolio. Thrive will oversee all media relations and influencer engagement for The Hotel Windsor as it continues service into 2018.
With a long and colourful history, The Windsor is Australia’s oldest and last remaining Grand hotel; pre-dating The Savoy in London, Ritz in Paris and the Waldorf Astoria in New York. The Windsor, known first and foremost for its exceptional and personable service, has represented the standard of elegance and tradition in Australia since 1883.
Situated at the top of Spring Street in the CBD, The Windsor offers a number of stunning event spaces overlooking Parliament and Treasury Gardens including: the Grand Ballroom, the Bourke Room and Wallis & Ed – perfect for unforgettable functions and fairytale weddings. The Windsor is also beloved for its afternoon tea service, having served over two million sumptuous plates of scones with jam and clotted cream since service commenced.
Thrive Melbourne General Manager, Kelly Stambanis said that The Windsor is a most welcome edition to the Melbourne office’s client roster of Victorian institutions.
“At Thrive, we are born and bred in Melbourne with offices across Australia and New Zealand, yet we remain passionate about what makes our hometown great, and this certainly includes The Windsor, that the standard of fine hospitality in the country. We’ve worked with some of Melbourne’s most seminal venues and locations including the MCG and National Gallery of Victoria, and we look forward to further developing The Hotel Windsor brand as it continues to set the standard of refined service.”
