New Appointments Mean Business For Clients & Team

Thrive’s commitment to continuous improvement has led to the creation of new roles at Thrive including the appointment of Michelle Richings as National Business Director. Following a career spanning almost two decades in the PR industry, including working at GM level for a number of fast growing agencies, Michelle will play a lead role in supporting the growth and direction of Thrive across the Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland offices.

“I’m most excited about what this appointment means for our clients and team,” said Thrive Managing Director, Leilani Abels. “Michelle will be instrumental in ensuring our high performance client standards stretch to the next level. She will lift our best practice operations and craft new opportunities for our Thrivers. This role will accelerate the growth of our new offices and allow us to introduce new initiatives that continue to raise the bar in the PR industry.”

Michelle said, “thrive pr + communications is a fantastic agency and business. The National Business Director role excites me, plays to my strengths and presents some great opportunities and challenges. I look forward to helping path the way forward with the Thrive team as we continue growing across Australia and New Zealand.”

In addition to creating the National Business Director role, Thrive has also strengthened its team in the sports arena with the appointment of two new consultants in the Melbourne office, Eliza Smith and Alanna Jarry. Eliza has worked in global agencies and has returned from the US where she was playing volleyball for Illinois State University. She is also a current member of the University Blues Australian Volleyball League (AVL) team and a member of the Volleyroos Australian Women’s Volleyball. Alanna also combines her two loves – communications and sport. She was fortunate to be in Rio for the Games, cheering her sister on as a team member of the Australian Opals Basketball team.

Thriver Steph Jones has recently returned from the Paralympics in Rio where she followed her passion for equestrian. Steph has been front and centre of recent Thrive campaigns in sport including for Equestrian Australia, Swimming Australia and for Optus with their Olympics and Paralympics programs.
