With just one day to go, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation (AGPC) is gearing up to launch In Her Corner, an inaugural event celebrating the women shaping the future of motorsport both on and off the track. Taking place this Thursday, 5 March, the event forms part of the week’s International Women’s Day celebrations.

Hosted by Formula 1® identity and Strategy Engineer, Ruth Buscombe with panellists Laura Mueller, Race Engineer at Haas F1® Team; Head of F1® Academy and F1® Aston Martin Ambassador Jess Hawkins; F1® Academy drivers Aiva Anagnostiadis, and Joanne Ciconte and rally driver and World Champion Molly Taylor

The program also features a keynote conversation with Formula 1® President and CEO Stefano Domenicali, who will share his insights into the women shaping the future of Formula 1® around the globe, driving innovation and change.

Designed to elevate the visibility, influence and impact of women across motorsport, engineering, leadership and business, In Her Corner will bring together globally recognised leaders, emerging talent and industry decision-makers from Formula 1® for an afternoon of keynote conversations, panel discussions and networking at Carousel, Albert Park.

Presented by the AGPC, in partnership with Engineers Australia and Monash University and supported by MECCA MAX and Thrive PR & Communications, In Her Corner reinforces the AGPC’s commitment to advancing gender equity in sport and STEM, while creating a dedicated platform and a new signature event on the calendar at the FORMULA 1 QATAR AIRWAYS AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX in Melbourne.

The announcement of In Her Corner coincides with the naming of Turn 6 at Albert Park Circuit, a historic milestone recognising the contribution of trailblazing female engineers Hannah Schmitz and Laura Mueller, cementing their legacy at the Albert Park Grand Prix Circuit.
