ROADSHOW FILMS:
PAN ACTIVATION
CHALLENGE/PROBLEM
Thrive was challenged to bring to life the nationwide theatrical release of “PAN” by creating, producing and implementing adventure and fantasy activations in Melbourne and Sydney.
INSIGHT
The activations needed to support the telling of an untold story of Peter Pan and engage parents and children during the school holidays in an effort to support ticket sales for the film.
METHOD
Thrive developed free activations in high traffic shopping centre locations, bringing to life key elements from the movie including BlackBeard face painting, PAN temporary tattoos and Tiger Lily hair braiding.
Thrive also developed social media campaign tactics including ‘photo op standee’ and character banners for ‘selfies’. Large scale TV monitors previewed the film’s trailer, PAN activity books were distributed to passers by, while freestanding i-pads allowed children to play PAN themed computer games.
RESULTS
2500+ children visited the sites in two locations over two weekends.
